Hi, I'm Emily Blasdell

and I'm the Founding Detail Engineer, Vision Enabler, and Creative Connector of Maps Management & Consulting.

As a kid, I didn't like being asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I was afraid to pigeonhole myself into one thing. Plus, it seemed like most adults didn't like having to go to work every morning so I began to pay closer attention to what uniquely joyful people did for work and seek out the things that made me come alive and somehow make a career out of that. Now, twelve years in and I can say I have always had my dream job...and it just keeps getting better.

What brings me the most joy in my work is getting to use my gifts to enable others to use theirs to the fullest extent. The best affirmation I have ever received from a client was "You enable me to be me." I founded Maps MC to do just that, enable not only our clients, but our employees as well, to discover and accept the Lord's invitation with confidence today and every day after.

I am a lover of spreadsheets, sunrises over Guatemalan volcanoes, and Monday mornings. I desire to live a great story and to never be afraid of playing in the dirt. Joy is my natural posture and divine providence is my greatest security. What is detail engineering?

Detail engineering is the road between your idea and the real impact it will have on the world. It's what we do to assist visionaries, founder, businesses, and nonprofits in understanding and/or implementing the practicals of their ideas, goals, and projects. The scope of services is rather unlimited as a detail engineer is a proactive and intuitive multi-tool that can moonlight in many different roles or find the right fit for specialized needs.

How much do you cost?

We typically work on retainer and project based agreements. Pricing of course depends on scope and time. Reach out to discuss your needs and we can put together a custom quote for you.

Are you hiring?

Who do you work with?

A better question might be who have we not worked with. Details are inescapable regardless of what industry you are in.
